Green Hour: Florida Style

I am on vacation right now in Florida. The weather is nice by South Dakota standards, chilly by Florida's. And, I must admit, even though my blood must be the consistency of sludge after this winter, that 55° with 20 mph winds is brisk even in Florida (But I still am amused at wind chill advisories at 45°).

The cool weather has not deterred us from getting out and enjoying the beautiful outdoors. So far, I've seen manatees, crocodiles, alligators, and shore birds galore, mostly at parks, both state (Blue Springs) and national (Everglades). We ate lunch at a small city park in Clewiston en route to the Everglades and the facilities were quite nice. I've also been to a "theme park" (one of the big ones associated with the ears) which was fun but the $75 entrance fee for one day made me realize just what a bargain the other kind of park is.

If you are so inclined, you may see photos of my green hours, Florida style.
